Matej Praprotnik works at RTV Slovenija. Prior to becoming assistant director for radio strategies he was a journalist and a morning host. In 2010 he became Innovation Journalism Fellow at Stanford University which shifted his professional focus to digital media. He started establishing the digital portfolio for Radio Slovenia that nowadays involves a variety of services from the website, diverse social media profiles, podcasts and smart speaker skills. Although he no longer works in the studio, he still hosts panels that cover media, science, and technologies. As a podcaster, he teaches Slovenians to speak Mandarin Chinese and Portuguese.

The Fall of Facebook, The Rise of Podcasts
If you don't listen to podcasts, you can't see the diversity of the digital landscape. The golden age of podcasting has brought rich sounds and storytelling that is at least as attractive as Netflix. There's just one important difference: podcast subscriptions are free. The rise of digital soundscapes come at a time where we have nearly lost all of our trust in social media, and some players with a clear digital strategy have started to say goodbye to Facebook.
